Teachers can conduct online meetings on SLS by generating Google Meet links within class groups and assignments for synchronous lessons, discussions, or consultations.
Important:

Teachers can choose to set different levels of security for the meetings:

Unique Google Meet links can also be generated for differentiated access, to facilitate small group discussions.

Open the right menu and select Manage Assignment Settings. The Assignment Settings subpage will appear.

Click on the Activity Assignment tab and select the Section where you want to generate the Google Meet Link. Click the Overflow (3-dot icon), then select View Google Meet Details.

Click on Generate Link and select the level of security for the meeting (Open, Trusted, Restricted) or use the Class Group Meeting Link.

Google Meet Links will be created for each Activity in the Section. You may delete Google Meet links if they are not required. Click Back to Assignment Settings and Save the Assignment. Repeat steps 1 to 3 if you would like to insert Google Meet links in other Sections.

Click the Overflow (3-dot icon) again, followed by View Google Meet Details to view the Google Meet Links.
Note:
- Teachers will need to link their iCON/Google account to SLS to create Google Meet links.
- If students do not link their iCON/Google account to SLS, they will only be able to join the meeting as a guest.
Create Google Meet Links for Teams in an Assignment

To create Google Meet links for Teams in an Assignment, go to Manage Assignment Settings and select the relevant activities, followed by the setting Set Team Activity On.

Select the option Apply Subgroups as Teams, Create New Team or Create Multiple Teams. For Apply Subgroups as Teams, select the Teams that require the Google Meet links.

Select the checkbox Add Video Link and select the level of security for the meetings: Open, Trusted or Restricted.

Click Add to confirm.

Click the Overflow (3-dot icon) again, followed by View Google Meet Details to view the Google Meet links.
Note: When Creating New Teams or Multiple Teams, click the Overflow (3-dot icon) and select View Google Meet Details to create Google Meet links for each team.
