(B2) Create Teams
Teams can be created from the Assignment Settings subpage. This subpage can be accessed from the Assignment Summary (when assigning a new Module) or from an Assignment (by clicking Manage Assignment Settings).
Apply Subgroups as Teams
- From the Assignment Settings subpage, select Activity Assignment. Ensure that Set as Team Activity has been toggled on.
To create teams for individual activities, click Add Team under each activity, followed by Apply Subgroups as Team. To create teams for multiple activities, select the checkboxes beside the activity title, followed by Apply Subgroups as Teams.
Select the subgroup you wish to add by selecting the checkbox beside each subgroup. To view the list of students within a subgroup, click the dropdown arrow.
- Click Add to proceed or Back to Assignment Settings to return to the Assignment Settings subpage.
- Your selected subgroups will be shown on the Assignment Settings subpage.
- You can view or edit the team by clicking View / Edit.
- Click Back to Assignment Settings to return to the Assignment subpage.
To delete a team, click the Overflow (3-dot icon), followed by Delete. Click OK to confirm.
Click Save, followed by X.
Note: Toggling on the “Auto-assign students to teams upon entry to activity” setting will result in students who have not been manually assigned a team, being automatically assigned one upon accessing the activity.
Create New Team
- From the Assignment Settings subpage, select Activity Assignment. Ensure that Set as Team Activity has been toggled on.
To create teams for individual Activities, click Add Team under each Activity, followed by Create New Team. To create a team across multiple activities, select the checkboxes beside the activity title, followed by Add Team.
In the Create New Team subpage, enter a team name. You may add students to the team by clicking Add Students.
- Select the students you wish to add by selecting the checkboxes beside their names. Click Add to proceed.
- Click Save to create your team. You will be redirected to the Assignment Settings subpage.
- Repeat steps 2 to 5 to create more teams.
- You can view or edit the team by clicking View / Edit.
- Click Back to Assignment Settings to return to the Assignment Settings subpage.
- To delete a team, click the Overflow (3-dot icon), followed by Delete. Click OK to confirm.
- Click Save, followed by X.

Create Multiple Teams

From the Assignment Settings subpage, select Activity Assignment. Switch on the toggle for Set as Team Activity.

To create teams for individual Activities, click Add Team under each Activity, followed by Create Multiple Teams. To create teams across multiple activities, select the checkboxes beside the activity title, followed by Create Multiple Teams.

In the Create Multiple Teams subpage, select the number of teams to be created, then click Create.

You can view or edit the team by clicking View / Edit.

Select the students you wish to add by selecting the checkboxes beside their names. Click Add to proceed.

Click Save to save the team composition. You will be redirected to the Assignment Settings subpage.

Click Back to Assignment Settings to return to the Assignment Settings subpage.

View Teams in Assignments
- In an Assignment, a Team Activity will be indicated beside the activity title, and with the Team icon from the expanded activity list.
- To view the teams and the students within the teams, enter any student’s assignment and select the team activity.
Click the Team icon. The number beside the icon indicates the number of teams.
